About NJ Medcare

NJ Heart / NJ MedCare is a leading physician group in New Jersey.

NJ Medcare/ NJ Heart was founded in 2001 with a vision of providing efficient and cutting-edge healthcare delivery to the communities served by NJ Heart. This goal is being achieved on a daily basis and in fact our physicians and staff have been very well-received in all the communities that we serve. This has helped us evolve into a multi-center, full service facility that is actively engaged in research and providing the highest level of medical care.

Our offices are equipped with the most modern diagnostic equipment, and are easily accessible from all major freeways.  We offer an integrated approach to your complete medical care. This approach involves the full range of medical specialists, treatments and diagnostics. We offer complete medical care close to you.

We offer you all of the latest treatments in a comfortable, outpatient setting. We maintain preferred, consultative relationships with the area’s best physicians and specialists. We provide referrals to other medical providers for services that we do not offer ourselves. Feel free to ask for these referrals at any office location. Most of our doctors and staff members speak a second language, making it easy to communicate with our patients and their family members. In addition to English, our staff is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Polish and Indian languages.

NJ Heart / NJ Medcare Risk Assessment Tools

What’s Your Heart Disease Risk?

Heart risk refers to the likelihood of developing cardiovascular diseases or experiencing heart-related complications. Several factors contribute to heart risk, including lifestyle choices, medical conditions, and genetic predisposition.

Here are some key factors that can increase the risk of heart disease:

  1. High Blood Pressure: Uncontrolled high blood pressure puts extra strain on the heart, leading to an increased risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.
  2. High Cholesterol: High levels of cholesterol, particularly low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or “bad” cholesterol, can cause the buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries, restricting blood flow and increasing the risk of heart disease.
  3. Smoking: Tobacco smoke contains chemicals that damage blood vessels and reduce blood flow, increasing the risk of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), heart attack, and stroke.
